BROWSER PROJECT

CONTEMPORARY ART 85x110 cm, oil on canvas, 2017

I’m trying to catch those moments when the slow internet connection
reduces the images looked up in the search engine to homogeneous
colour fields. The screen becomes a composition of “colour fields”
without motifs and formal associations. This effect, which is defined as
an error, is what I painted on canvas. Searching for words in the browser
gives an endless variety of topics.

EVERYTHING ON ONE PAGE 31x29 cm print, paper 2016

I currently work as a video editor. Daily 400 Stockvideos run in front of
my eyes. I can remember only 2% of these. Many of the images are lost.
Based on this, I compressed the reproductions of my portfolio into one
picture. Although some details remain, the printed pictures layered on
top of each other appear as a black stain.

DETAIL 26x36 cm, oil on canvas, 2016

I painted a cut wood on canvas.
When the picture was taken,
I stretched it to a smaller frame.
In this way, the final picture gives the illusion of
an unhurt tree.
